- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Role: Business developers will aim to achieve a larger
consolidated international market share for Localsoft and are responsible
for obtaining sales and maintaining efficient communications and follow-ups
with clients. Localsoft offers several Business Development Packages
ranging from in-house based part-time and full-time employees working
out of our office in Marbella to freelancers working from any worldwide
location on a commission basis.
Requirements: Proven business development experience in the localization industry is a big plus. This position calls for dynamic, polite, efficient and highly educated professionals. Excellent organization skills and multitasking are required. Perfect spoken and written English is a must.
- TRANSLATORS
- Languages: Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian,
Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Farsi, Finnish, French, German,
Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian,
Maltese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Rumanian, Slovakian,
Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukranian and Vietnamese.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years of translation/localization experience. Advanced knowledge of English is indispensable. We prefer translators who are fully bilingual. Writing and editing skills are crucial. Candidates must pass Localsoft's translation test to become a Localsoft translator. Translators will translate into their native language only.
- PROJECT MANAGERS
- Languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek,
Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese,
Spanish and Swedish.
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of localization project management experience. Superior level of written and spoken English is indispensable. Excellent organization skills and multitasking are required. Expertise in Computer Assisted Translation tools is a must.
- DESKTOP PUBLISHERS
- Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ DTP experience. Candidates must pass Localsoft's DTP test. Advanced knowledge of QuarkXpress, InDesign, Illustrator, Freehand, Microsoft Word, PageMaker, HTML, and Acrobat is also required. Desktop publishers will edit in their native language only. Candidates must have permanent access to a modern Macintosh with plenty of memory, fast Internet connection, and necessary reference tools including dictionaries and style guides.
- PROOFREADERS and COPY EDITORS
- Requirements: Minimum 5 years of proofreading experience. Excellent grammar skills, knowledge of standard proofreading marks and the ability to proof content and style are essential. Candidates must have access to an Internet connection, a modern computer (preferably Macintosh) with Microsoft Word and QuarkXpress, and all necessary reference materials. Proofreaders and copy editors will work in their native language only.
- VOICEOVER ANIMATORS (Voice Talents)
- Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of’ voiceover experience. Voiceover animators will perform in their native language only. Please send a sample of your work to Localsoft.
- VOICEOVER LINGUISTIC QA
- Role: To assist our studio directors supervising foreign
language audio recordings on-site and in real time, checking for proper
translation, assuring correct voice-talent pronunciation, voice-talent
intonation, interpretation, looking out for pops, hisses, etc.
Requirements: Superior level of written and spoken language is indispensable. Excellent organization skills and multitasking are required as well as a good ear and the ability to catch and correct mistakes on-the-fly.
- GRAPHIC ARTISTS / DESIGNERS
- Requirements: Working Knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator, and/ or Freehand, plus other industry standard programs. Candidates must have access to a fast Internet connection, a modern Mac with plenty of memory and a large hard drive, DVD/CD-ROM, and scanner. - PROGRAMMERS
- Requirements: Minimum 5 years of programming experience and knowledge of industry standard programs. Please send samples of your previous work.
- SOFTWARE ENGINEERS
- Role: Software engineers are responsible for fully integrating
software products into other languages, including bitmap editing, dialogue
box re-sizing, creating installers, compiling, processing updates, checking
Hot Keys, fonts, etc.
Requirements: Full command of industry-standard programs such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Java Development Kit, CodeWarrior, C++, InstallShield, RoboHELP, HTML and XML to name a few.
- WEB DESIGNERS

Requirements: Working knowledge of latest web-design technology, including HTML, DHTML, XML, JAVA, Plug-ins, animation programs, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe GoLive, Fireworks, After Effects, Premiere, Director and databases. Please send URLs that show samples of your work.
